Estella Beatrice Hudson was born on 3 January 1887 at Parkers Cove, Annapolis Co, Nova Scotia; Stella was listed as 4 years old in the 1891 census and 14 years old in the 1901 census in Parkers Cove.2 She was the daughter of Ainslie Hudson and Annie Campbell VanBlarcom.1 Estella Beatrice Hudson married 1st Charles Dudley Kearnes, son of James Kearnes and Phoebe Milbury, on 2 November 1905 at Methodist Church, Granville Ferry, Annapolis Co, Nova Scotia. Charles was listed as 22, a carpenter, and was living in Young's Cove at the time of their marriage (1905). Estella declared age 20 and living in Parker's Cove. They were married in Granville Ferry Methodist Church by Rev. Aaron Rinney with Mrs. Sam Mills and Mrs. A. Rinney as witnesses. The family lived in Youngs Cove and then may have moved to Granville Centre, Annapolis County, Nova Scotia.3 Estella Beatrice Hudson died on 21 August 1930 at Granville Centre, Annapolis Co, Nova Scotia. Estella died at age 44 leaving her husband and nine children. She is buried in Young's Cove.1
