Stephen Wentworth Green was born on 29 April 1859 at Halifax, Halifax Co, Nova Scotia.2 He was the son of Wentworth Green and Mary Ann Miller.2 Stephen Wentworth Green married Delphine Rhuanne Monroe, daughter of Richard Monroe and Lucinda Hartum.2 Stephen Wentworth Green died on 11 September 1926 at Elmira, Chemung Co, NY.2 He was buried at Floral Avenue Cemetery, Johnson City, Broome Co, NY.2      Stephen came to the US as a young man. He went west to Binghamton where he settled after his marriage to Delphine Monroe. He worked as a conductor on the street cars when they were horse drawn and later electrically driven. Henry Green believes he did some farming. As he remembers him, he was a salesman of real estate and other things. After retirement he lived in Elmira, NY with his daughter Louise. He died in Elmira of a heart attack. He had helped remove a tree from the street after a severe windstorm.
